  • Goals allow individuals to track their progress against others is not a reason behind exercise routines have clearly stated goals.
  • Specificity means an exercise program should have end goals that target specific areas. This statement is true.

Further Explanation:

The fitness program helps in achieving good health. To start fitness program we have to make fitness goals, create a healthy diet. Physical fitness is the capability of a body to perform daily activity.

Physical fitness helps us to prevent heart disease, lung cancer, stroke, and type II diabetes. Progress of a fitness program is very slow it takes time. It is more difficult to maintain a program for a long time with the same enthusiasm. We can set the goal and check whether we are progressing or not. If the goals of an individual are successfully attain then an individual gets motivated for the next day. When the goals are not achieved, it is important to check for the part that can be improved. We mainly set goals for own concerns, satisfaction and achievement. Goals are not related to others.

Specificity is occurring in a specific reaction that occurs as a result of exercise program. Specificity increases the long-term adaptations to occur with progressive overload. Specificity—a focus on particular movements, muscles, velocity and energy systems —drives the gains you make in training and practice. If an individual doesn't intentionally train for something, it may not occur.

Specificity is decreased when an individual is not focusing on the goal. Specificity helps in achieving their goals. Then, an individual have to set a fresh goal for the assessment and train themselves for that particular goal. Individuals who are involved in fitness programs should set goals and weekly asses the progress by the fitness evaluation test. If we achieve our goals we should give our self-reward.

A railroad car moves under a grain elevator at a constant speed of 3.20 m/s. Grain drops into the car at the rate of 240 kg/min.
dedylja [7]

Answer:

F = 768 N

Explanation:

It is given that,

Speed of the elevator, v = 3.2 m/s

Grain drops into the car at the rate of 240 kg/min, \dfrac{dm}{dt}=240\ kg/min = 4\ kg/s

We need to find the magnitude of force needed to keep the car moving constant speed. The relation between the momentum and the force is given by :

F=\dfrac{dp}{dt}

F=m\dfrac{dv}{dt}+v\dfrac{dm}{dt}

Since, the speed is constant,

F=m\dfrac{dv}{dt}

F=v\dfrac{dm}{dt}

F=3.2\times 240

F = 768 N

So, the magnitude of force need to keep the car is 768 N. Hence, this is the required solution.

A thermometer initially reading 212F is placed in a room where the temperature is 70F. After 2 minutes the thermometer reads 125
frez [133]

Answer:

91.3°F

Explanation:

Let T be the temperature of the thermometer at any time

T∞ be the temperature of the room = 70°F

T₀ be the initial temperature of the thermometer = 212°F

And m, c, h are all constants from the cooling law relation

From Newton's law of cooling

Rate of Heat loss by the cake = Rate of Heat gain by the environment

- mc (d/dt)(T - T∞) = h (T - T∞)

(d/dt) (T - T∞) = dT/dt (Because T∞ is a constant)

dT/dt = (-h/mc) (T - T∞)

Let (h/mc) be k

dT/(T - T∞) = -kdt

Integrating the left hand side from T₀ to T and the right hand side from 0 to t

In [(T - T∞)/(T₀ - T∞)] = -kt

(T - T∞)/(T₀ - T∞) = e⁻ᵏᵗ

(T - T∞) = (T₀ - T∞)e⁻ᵏᵗ

Inserting the known variables

(T - 70) = (212 - 70)e⁻ᵏᵗ

(T - 70) = 142 e⁻ᵏᵗ

At t = 2 minute, T = 125°F

125 - 70 = 142 e⁻ᵏᵗ

55/142 = e⁻ᵏᵗ

- kt = In (55/142) = In (0.3873)

- k(2) = - 0.9485

k = 0.4742 /min

At time t = 4 mins

kt = 0.4742 × 4 = 1.897

(T - 70) = 142 e⁻ᵏᵗ

e^(-1.897) = 0.15

T - 70 = 142 × 0.15 = 21.3

T = 91.3°F

A vat of nitrogen at its boiling point (-196 degrees C) absorbs 384000 J of heat. How much mass of nitrogen burns off? (Unit = k
masya89 [10]

Answer:

1.92 kg of nitrogen.

Explanation:

The following data were obtained from the question:

Heat absorbed (Q) = 384000 J

Note: Heat of vaporisation (ΔHv) of nitrogen = 5600 J/mol

Next, we shall determine the number of mole of nitrogen that absorbed 384000 J.

This is illustrated below:

Q = mol·ΔHv

384000 = mole of N2 x 5600

Divide both side by 5600

Mole of N2 = 384000/5600

Mole of N2 = 68.57 moles

Next, we shall convert 68.57 moles of nitrogen, N2 to grams.

This can be obtained as follow:

Molar mass of N2 = 2 x 14 = 28 g/mol.

Mole of N2 = 68.57 moles.

Mass of N2 =..?

Mole = mass /molar mass

68.57 = mass of N2 /28

Cross multiply

Mass of N2 = 68.57 x 28

Mass of N2 = 1919.96 g

Finally, we shall convert 1919.96 g to kilograms.

This can be achieved as shown below:

1000g = 1 kg

Therefore,

1919.96 g = 1919.96/1000 = 1.92 kg.

Therefore, 1.92 kg of nitrogen were burned off.
