First of all, it's not pie. It's pi.

Now, the problem.
Radius is always 1/2 x d (d meaning diameter)
That gives us 5.

The formula is 3.14 x 5^2(h/3)
If you solve it from left to right, you get 130.83

Volume = 1/3 * 3.14 * 5^2 * 5         (RADIUS = 1/2 DIAMETER = 5)

Answer is  130.8 cm^3

Answer:

25 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The 2 triangles are similar hence the ratios of corresponding sides are equal, that is

\frac{x}{5} = \frac{40}{8} = 5

multiply both sides by 5

x = 5 × 5 = 25

The height of the tree is 25 ft

13 At the beginning of 2009, Mr Veale bought a company.
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

£58,800

Step-by-step explanation:

The answer can be calculated using

FV=p(1+r/n)^nt

P=£50,000

r=2%=0.02

n=12

t=2009 to 2017=8 years

FV=p(1+r/n)^nt

=50,000(1+0.02/12)^12*8

=50,000(1+0.0017)^96

=50,000(1.0017)^96

=50,000(1.1771)

=58,855

FV=58,855

To the nearest £100=£58,800
