As a talented grad of CMPEN 270, your new job as a digital designer is to design a "greedy" vending machine that accepts only ni

ckels, dimes, and quarters. It is "greedy" because it does not give back any change! There is only one type of snack inside the vending machine which sells for 20 cents. To simplify the problem, assume only one coin is accepted at a time and generates the following inputs (XY) to the state machine. (USE T-Flip Flops ONLY)
Condition XY
No coins were put in the vending machine 00
One nickel was put in the vending machine 01
One dime was put in the vending machine 10
One quarter was put in the vending machine 11

Answer:

See explaination

Explanation:

In the below answer "Z" is the output. please kindly check attachment for further details.

When z=1 , the vending machine gives snacks

z=0 , the vending machine doesn't give snacks.

And z becomes 1( high) only when the machine gets 20 cents or more than 20 cents. Since the machine doesn't give change, after giving snacks it will restart from initial state A (where no coins were put).

Consider two different versions of algorithm for finding gcd of two numbers (as given below), Estimate how many times faster it
juin [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

Step 1:

a) The formula for compute greatest advisor is

     gcd(m,n) = gcd (n,m mod n)

the gcd(31415,14142) by applying Euclid's algorithm is

    gcd(31,415,14,142) =gcd(14,142,3,131)

                                  =gcd=(3,131, 1,618)

                                   =gcd(1,618, 1,513)

                                   =gcd(1,513, 105)

                                   =gcd(105, 43)

                                    =gcd(43, 19)

                                     =gcd(19, 5)

                                      =gcd(5, 4)

                                      =gcd(4, 1)

                                      =gcd(1, 0)

                                      =1

STEP 2

b)  The number of comparison of given input with the algorithm based on  checking consecutive integers and Euclid's algorithm is

The number of division using Euclid's algorithm =10 from part (a)

      The consecutive integer checking algorithm:

The number of iterations =14,142 and 1 or 2 division of iteration.

        14,142 ∠= number of division∠ = 2*14,142

Euclid's algorithm is faster by at least 14,142/10 =1400 times

          At most 2*14,142/10 =2800 times.

What happen to the clutch system when you step-on and releasing the clutch pedal?
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

Step On: Your foot forces the clutch pedal down and then causes it to take up the slack. This, in turn, causes the clutch friction disk to slip, creating heat and ultimately wearing your clutch out.

Step Off: When the clutch pedal is released, the springs of the pressure plate push the slave cylinder's pushrod back, which forces the hydraulic fluid back into the master cylinder.
