In a primitive cubic unit cell, there is one atom per unit cell. And 1/4 of the atom can be found in the corners of the cell. Therefore, one length of the cubic unit cell constitutes 2 radii. The radius of an atom of Gallium would be 362 pm / 2 = 181 pm.

All you have to do is research more about this scientist´s theory. Just google: Why wasn´t Wegner´s hypothesis accepted?
Trust me, the answers are there.
Next time just research it.
Wegner´s idea seemed so ridiculous at the time that he was ridiculed by other scientists. The problem was that to his colleagues there seemed no plausible mechanism for how the continents could move through the oceans.

To determine the concentration of ethanol in cognac a 5.00 mL sample of the cognac is diluted to 0.500 L. Analysis of the dilute
julia-pushkina [17]

Answer : The molar concentration of ethanol in the undiluted cognac is 8.44 M

Explanation :

Using neutralization law,

M_1V_1=M_2V_2

where,

M_1 = molar concentration of undiluted cognac = ?

M_2 = molar concentration of diluted cognac = 0.0844 M

V_1 = volume of undiluted cognac = 5.00 mL = 0.005 L

V_2 = volume of diluted cognac = 0.500 L

Now put all the given values in the above law, we get molar concentration of ethanol in the undiluted cognac.

M_1\times 0.005L=0.0844M\times 0.500L

M_1=8.44M

Therefore, the molar concentration of ethanol in the undiluted cognac is 8.44 M

Can someone find the independent variable and the dependent variable ?
Tatiana [17]
Independent Variable here is ”Speed”, since the independent variable is defined as (what's the scientist changes or what changes on its own)... And in here, both cars were traveling at 60 mph ’at a certain point, so, one of them might speed up or stay behind/lower it's speed from the other, depending on it's driver’.

Dependent Variable here is ”Distance”, since the dependant variable is defined as (what s being studied/measured).
