Answer:

C 1.7 million tons

Explanation:

First we have to divide the number of days in a year by two to calculate the number of aluminum canes that one american uses a year:

365/2=182,5

So then we have that 182,5 is the number of cans that an american uses a year, we multiply that by 300 million americans:

182,5*300,000,000=5.475x10^10

So we use 5.475x10^10 is the amount of ounces that we use in cans now we just convert that to tons:

5.475x10^10*3.125e-5=1,710,937.5

So the tons are 1,710,937.5 from the total number of cans that are used by the 300 million americans.

Answer: The correct answer is Option C.

Explanation:

We know that:

Number of days in a year = 365 days

We are given:

Number of people = 300 million

In 2 days, 1 aluminium cans are consumed.

So, in 365 days, number of aluminium cans consumed are = \frac{1}{2}\times 365=182.5

It is also given:

1 aluminium can weighs 1 ounce

Converting this into tons, we use the conversion factor:

1oz=3.125\times 10^{-5}tons

Amount of aluminium needed will be = Number of people × Number of cans consumed × Mass of aluminium in 1 can

Amount of aluminium needed will be = [300\text{ million}\times 182.5\times 3.125\times 10^{-5}\text{ tons}]=1.7\text{ million tons}

Hence, the correct answer is Option C.

Which describe the image formed by an object on the center of curvature? Check all that apply.
9966 [12]

The image formed by a concave mirror with the object placed at the center of curvature is real inverted and formed at the center of curvature. Using the ray diagram a ray from the top of the object to the mirror through f then reflected parallel to the principal axis,then the ray through the center of curvature reflected through the same point both intersect at a plane through center curvature and perpendicular to the principal axis. The point of intersection forms the top of the image and the center of curvature forms the bottom. Therefore, the correct choices are : real and inverted

A car starts from rest at a stop sign. It accelerates at 4.6 m/s^2 for 6.2 s , coasts for 2.1s , and then slows down at a rate o
ki77a [65]

Answer:

D = 271.54 m

Explanation:

given,

1. car accelerates at 4.6 m/s² for 6.2 s

2. constant speed for 2.1 s

3. slows down at 3.3 m/s²

distance travel for case 1

using equation of motion

d_1 = u t +\dfrac{1}{2}at^2

d_1 =\dfrac{1}{2}\times 4.6\times 6.2^2

      d₁ = 88.41 m

case 2

constant speed for 2.1 s now, we have to find velocity

v = u  + at

v = 0 + 4.6 x 6.2

v = 28.52 m/s

distance travel in case 2

d₂ = v x t

d₂ = 28.52 x 2.1 = 59.89 m

for case 3

distance travel by the car

v² = u² + 2 a s

final velocity if the car is zero

0² = 28.52² + 2 x (-3.3) x d₃

6.6 d₃ = 813.39

d₃ = 123.24 m

total distance travel by the car

D = d₁ + d₂ + d₃

D = 88.41 + 59.89 + 123.24

D = 271.54 m

Apollo astronauts took a "nine iron" to the Moon and hit a golf ball about 180 m.
Studentka2010 [4]
So in calculating this one its is really hard to explain how i get it on solve it but you must consider this factors that i give in getting the answer. First is the distance cover by the ball when it is hit by the club, Second is you must estimate both of those data when it is in the moon and in the earth whre the gravity of the earth is 9.8m/s^2 so by calculating the Gravity of the moon or gMoon is equal 1.74m/s^2

The ideal gas model is valid if which of the following conditions is true?
VashaNatasha [74]

in ideal gas we have few things that we need to follow as following

1. Force of interaction between gas molecules are negligible.

2. There is no effect of gravity on them

3. All collisions are perfectly elastic collision.

4. there will be no energy loss

5. All newton's law are valid for them.

6. all molecules moves with same speed in random direction.

So here in order to follow all above conditions we have to maintain low pressure and high temperature in the gas due to which the density of gas becomes low.

So correct answer will be

The gas density is low and the temperature is high.
