All you have to do is add the two fractions. Because both already have the same denominator, we can add right away. Set the fractions up and add straight across (the numerators). 2 plus 1 equals 3. For the denominator, you don't add, you leave it the same. So like I said, the numerator is 3, and the denominator will stay the same (3). So your answer is 3/3, simplified to 1. To simplify you just divide both by the same number (I used 3). Hope this helps :)

Part 1: Create a scenario for an arithmetic sequence. For example, Jasmine practices the piano for ten minutes on Monday. Every day she adds her practice time by five minutes. If she continues this pattern, in the 7th day she will practice for 10 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 10 + 6(5) = 10 + (7 - 1)(5) = 20 + 30 = 40 minutes.
Hence the function for the 7th term in the sequence is a + (7 - 1)d = a + 6d where a is the number of minutes Jasmine practiced the piano on Monday and d is the additional number of minutes added by Jasmine to his practice time evey day.

BRAINIEST ANSWER PLEASE! ITS ABOUT AREA!
Diano4ka-milaya [45]
46 square inches If you look at the figure in the diagram, you'll see that it consist of two rectangles next to each other. So the area of the entire figure is the sum of the area of both rectangles. The leftmost rectangle is 5 inches by 6 inches for an area of 30 square inches. The right triangle is a skinny rectangle that is 8 inches by 2 inches for an area of 16 square inches. And 30 square inches plus 16 square inches equals 46 square inches. An alternate way of considering the problem is that it's one large rectangle that's (5+8 = 13) inches long and 6 inches tall equaling 78 square inches, minus 2 other rectangles, both of which are 2 inches by 8 inches for an area of 16 square inches. And finally 78 square inches minus 16 square inches minus 16 square inches equals 46 square inches.

What is the kinetic energy of a 54 kg mass traveling at 15 meters per second?
kobusy [5.1K]

Given that an object with a mass of 54kg travels at 15m/s^2, determine the kinetic energy of the object.

KE = 0.5 x mv^2

M (mass) = 54kg

V (velocity) = 15m/s^2

Then, we plug the values in.

KE = 0.5 x 54(15^2)

Now, we solve.

KE = 0.5 x 54(225)

KE = 0.5 x 12150

KE = 6075

Now, that we have solved the formula, we can see that the kinetic energy of the object is 6,075J.

Thus, the kinetic energy of the object is 6,075J.
