You have a balloon containing 1 L of air at STP in a vacuum chamber. What will the volume of the balloon be when you reduce the

pressure by half and increase the temperature to 373 K? (Use the combined gas law PV/T = k or P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2.)

If you know how to do then you should do it !

P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2 is the only concept !!

so; ( P1×1) / 273 =( P1/2 × V2 )/ 373

V2 = 2.73 L

NikAS [45]

Jamal is 2 miles away from his home.

Option B.

Explanation:

The initial distance of Jamal from his home is 8 miles. He needs to return home from his trip.

The speed that Jamal kept was constant for 30minutes and he drove at a speed for 12 miles per hour.

Speed of Jamal = 12 mph.

Time of travel = 30minutes =0.5 hours.

So distance traveled by Jamal = 12 \times0.5miles. = 6miles.

Initial distance of Jamal = 8 miles.

So final distance = 8-6 miles = 2miles.

So Jamal is 2 miles away from his home.
