Someone help me out. I dont know how to do this
Fittoniya [83]

Answer:

\huge\boxed{r_{x-axis}(x,\ y)\to(x,\ -y)}

Step-by-step explanation:

Read the coordinates of the points:

A(-1, 0) → A'(-1, 0)

B(0, 2) → B'(0, -2)

C(3, 2) → C'(3, -2)

D(4, 0) → D'(4, 0)

(x, y) → (x, -y)

Check:

A → A': (-1, 0) → (-1, -0) = (-1, 0)    CORRECT

B → B': (0, 2) → (0, -2)      CORRECT

C → C': (3, 2) → (3, -2)        CORRECT

D → D': (4, 0) → (4, -0) = (4, 0)     CORRECT

Need help Finding the side length X.
Vilka [71]

Because the 2 triangles are similar, find the ratio of 2 known sides.

Side XY = 10

Side AB = 25

25 / 10 = 2.5

This means the larger triangle is 2.5 times larger than the smaller one.

Now find the side of the smaller triangle, that would be the same side as X on the larger triangle and multiply that by 2.5.

XZ is the same side as AC

So X = 6 x 2.5

X = 15

Using the quadratic formula to solve 2x^2 = 4x – 7, what are the values of x?
LekaFEV [45]

For this case we have the following quadratic equation:

2x ^ 2 = 4x - 7

Rewriting the equation we have:

2x ^ 2 - 4x + 7 = 0

From here, we have:

a=2 b = -4c = 7

Substituting values in the quadratic equation we have:

x = \frac{-b+/-\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

x = \frac{-(-4)+/-\sqrt{(-4)^2-4(2)(7)}}{2(2)}

Rewriting the equation we have:

x = \frac{4+/-\sqrt{16-56}}{4}

x = \frac{4+/-\sqrt{-40}}{4}

x = \frac{4+/-\sqrt{-4*10}}{4}

x = \frac{4+/-2i\sqrt{*10}}{4}

x = \frac{2+/-i\sqrt{*10}}{2}

Answer:

The values of x are given by:

x = \frac{2+i\sqrt{*10}}{2}

x = \frac{2-i\sqrt{*10}}{2}
