Answer:

Avoid using their own students in their research in the first place

Explanation:

Due to high amount of interaction that they might possess, the students might form some sort of personal relationships with members of the researchers team.

When this happen, there would be a motive for the students to behave exactly in a way that the researchers want and make the research become invalid.

The answer is to avoid using their own students for research. The faculty can look for other subjects outside their own students.

EXPLANATION

Searching for subjects in research has to be thought well. The faculty needs to avoid using their own students for research because it can influence the research’s result. The student and the researcher can have some sort of relationship. As they get closer, the students will know what the researcher expects as the result of the research. There will be a risk where the student ended up behaving the way the researchers want. If this happens, then the validity of the research’s result is in danger.

The selection of subjects in a study plays an important role. The subjects in the research have to be chosen with principles in psychology. There are three main principles of choosing subjects in research: beneficence, justice, and autonomy.

Autonomy means that the subject has to understand that participating in the subject is voluntary. The subjects in the research must not experience any kind of coercion. Subjects know exactly what they are going to get themselves involved in.

Beneficence refers to the intention that the research is for good. Therefore, the subjects in the research have to be taken good care of. The last one is justice, where the researchers need to include all ethnic groups and women into the subjects of research. This is to make sure that the research is being fair.
