The Catholic Church's mission was more harmful to the Native Americans. This was because they forced them to practice Christianity and would shun the Native Americans culture and language. This ripped apart many Native Americans from their culture and very harsh measures were taken against the Native Americans who did not want to practice Christianity.

I think harmful because the catholics wanted everybody to be like them and they went to any extent to make anybody be like them so yes they were harmful
