In cases of dating violence, it is very common for people to associate the fact that someone is violent with his girlfriend or boyfriend because he/she loves too much. This is a highly incorrect and dangerous stereotype. Violence is related to love. Who loves is not violent, is authoritarian and dangerous.

Many people say that men are always the ones more likely to be violent towards their partners. This stereotype is definitely not true; though men are often physically superior to women, females often verbally abuse their male partners.
