Ok, so since they arre all the same length....

18. sides are all same length
so
5-2x=-4x+9
solve
add 4x both sides
5+2x=9
mins 5 both sides
2x=4
x=2

sub back
5-2x=5-2(2)=5-4=1
the length of each side is 1
3 sides so the perimiter is 3 units

19.
same side length so
3(x-1)=5x-6
distribute
3x-3=5x-6
minus 3x both sides
-3=2x-6
add 6 both sides
3=2x
divide 2
3/2=x
sub back
5x-6
5(3/2)-6
15/2-6
7.5-6
1.5

5 sides so
1.5 times 5=7.5 units is the perimiter
which is about 15/2 units

If 840 CLASS eighth graders, making up 4/5 of total eighth, studied algebra during summer, how many eighth graders are enrolled
Anarel [89]

Answer:

1008

Step-by-step explanation:

If 4/5 of eighth graders, or 80%, are enrolled with class, there are still 20% of students that didn't study. That means you add 168, the 20%,  and you'll get 1008.

The United States five-dollar bill are 155.956 mm long and 66.294 wide. A stack of these bills fits inside a 156 x 66.3 x 66.3 m
maxonik [38]

Answer:

A) $5 × 25 = $75

B) 37.69%

Step-by-step explanation:

The dimension of five dollar bill:

Length = 155.956mm

Width = 66.294

Volume of box being occupied by 5 dollar bill = 258,473.68mm^3

Dimension of box :

156 x 66.3 x 66.3 mm

If volume of the 5—dollar bill is 258,473.68mm^3

Then, the Thickness of the five dollar stack equals :

Volume = Length × width × height

258,473.68mm^3 = 155.956mm × 66.294 × height

258,473.68 = 10338.947064 × h

h = (258473.68/10338.947064)

h = 25.000000003288 = 25

Therefore, the amount of money in the box is:

$5 × 25 = $75

Percentage of box volume taken up by $5 bill

Volume of the box:

156 x 66.3 x 66.3 mm = 685727.6399mm^3

Volume of box being occupied by 5 dollar bill = 258,473.68mm^3

(258,473.68 / 685727.6399) × 100

=37.69%

Predict the number of seventh grade students in his school whose favorite beverage is milk.
loris [4]

Answer:

696 students.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the  sample of students 58/125 of them like milk.

So we can predict that 1500 * 58/125 of the 1500 students like milk.

This comes to (1500/125) * 58

= 12 * 58

=  696.
