Not all of the works were to criticized political situations, but many did and because they made fun of the aristocrats. Writers and actors were seen as troublemakers and weren't respected at all. Also, they were considered promotors of sin and inappropriate behavior. Many times they have to start moving from town to town because the local authorities had spotted them and they need to leave the place to avoid the consequences.
