There are 500 children in elementary.Today 25 children are away.what percentage are present?

Mathematics
1 answer:
Allushta [10]3 years ago
4 0
This can be solved using a proportion

100 : 500 = x : 475
100 percent is 500, x percent is based on the remaining 475 students
100 x 475 = 500x
47500 = 500x
x= 47500/500
x=95

95% of students are present.

How do you solve 4-m/2=10
Brrunno [24]
You would first multiply two on both sides of the equal sign. This turns your equation into this:
4-m=20

Then, subtract 4 from both sides of the equal sign. This makes your equation this:
-m=16
However, a variable that is alone usually isn't supposed to be negative. To change this, you must change the sign of the m; since you did this to one side of the equation, you must do it to the other. Making your equation finish off like this:
m=-16

Hope I could help! Sorry about the late response.

Help me please ill give brainliest give the CORRECT answer please
Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

  174 ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming you're interested in the area of the figure, you can compute it as the sum of the areas of the triangle and rectangle.

The unknown side of the triangle can be figured from the overall dimension of the rectangle and the two lengths that are not part of the triangle base:

  6 ft + triangle base + 6 ft = 18 ft

  triangle base = 18 ft - 12 ft = 6 ft

Then the area of the triangle is ...

  A = 1/2bh = 1/2(6 ft)(4 ft) = 12 ft²

__

Of course, the area of the rectangle is the product of its length and width:

  A = LW = (18 ft)(9 ft) = 162 ft²

__

The total area of the figure is the sum of these:

  area = triangle area + rectangle area

  area = 12 ft² +162 ft²

  area = 174 ft²
