Molar mass of butane = 12g/mol*4+1g/mol*10=58g/mol

Mass of 2 moles of butane=2mol*58g/mol=116g

2c4h10(g)+13o2(g)->8co2(g)+10h2o(l)

116g                        8 moles

3.20g                           x

116g butane/8moles CO2=3.20g butane/x

x=3.20g butane*8moles CO2/116g butane=0.2207moles CO2

T=23°C=296K

PV=nRT

V=nRT/P=0.2207moles*0.082(atm*dm³/(K/mol))*296K/(1atm)=5.36dm³

What part of the photovoltaic cell converts light to electricity
icang [17]

Ans: B) semiconductor

Photovoltaic cells work by converting light energy to electrical energy. These cells are essentially made of silicon based semiconductors. When photons (light energy) strike the surface of the semiconducting material electrons are let loose. The delocalization of electron creates a flow of charge which produces electricity.

Thus, it is the semiconductor present in a photovoltaic cell which is responsible for converting light to electricity.

Three isotopes of oxygen are oxygen-16 oxygen-17 and oxygen-18. Write the symbol for each, including the atomic number and mass
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
The symbol of an isotope is:
^A _Z X
A - the mass number
Z - the atomic number
X - the symbol of an element

The symbol of oxygen is O.

The atomic number is the same for all isotopes of one element. For oxygen it's 8, because every atom of oxygen has 8 protons in its nucleus.

The mass number is the number of nucleons (protons + neutrons) in the nucleus of an atom, and it's given in the name of an isotope. Oxygen-16 has the mass number 16, oxygen-17 has the mass number 17, oxygen-18 has the mass number 18.

Oxygen-16: ^{16} _8 O

Oxygen-17: ^{17} _8 O

Oxygen-18: ^{18} _8 O
