A commuter train leaves the Metro transit station at precisely 10:00 AM. You intend to board the same train at the next stop in

Whistleville, located 14 miles away from the Metro transit station. The average speed of the commuter train is 35 mph. It takes you five minutes to walk from your apartment to the platform in Whistleville. What time should you leave the apartment in order to arrive at the platform at the same time as the train?

Distance between Metro  transit station to Whitstleville = 14 miles
Average speed of train = 35 mph
Time of departure from metro = 10.00 AM
Time to the next station, t= d/s = 14/35 = 0.4 hrs = 24 minutes
Since it takes 5 minutes to the station, the traveler leaves the apartment at,

10.00 AM + (24-5 minutes) = 10.19 AM

What gravitational force does the moon produce
dangina [55]

Answer:

F = 1.94 \times 10^{20} N

Explanation:

Mass of earth ; M = 5.973 \times 10^{24} kg

Mass of moon ; m = 7.34 \times 10^{22}kg

distance between them is ;d = 3.88 \times 10^{8}m

Gravitational constant is given by

G = 6.67 \times 10^{-11} m^{3}kg^{-1}s^{-2}

So , the gravitational force between them is

F = \frac{GMm}{d^{2}}

Insert the values

F = \frac{6.67 \times 10^{-11} \times 5.973 \times 10^{24} \times 7.34 \times 10^{22}}{(3.88 \times 10^{8})^{2}} N

So,

F = 1.94 \times 10^{20} N

Thus , the force between earth and moon is F = 1.94 \times 10^{20} N

Suppose object A<span> is a cue ball and object </span>B<span> is an eight ball on a pool table. If the cue ball strikes the eight ball, the cue ball exerts a force on the eight ball that sends it rolling toward the pocket. At the same time, the eight ball exerts an equal and opposite force on the cue ball that brings it to a stop. Note that both the cue ball and the eight ball each experience a change in momentum. However, the sum of the momentum of the cue ball and the momentum of the eight ball remains constant throughout.</span>
