Well, he worked 35 hours
he makes 15.5 per hour in 35  hours will  be 15.5 * 35

then he gets a 10% bump from Mr. Davis
so. he really made (15.5 * 35) plus 10% of that, 10% = 10/100 = 0.1
so (15.5 * 35) + (15.5 * 35)(0.01)

then those hourly wages take a bite of 5% from the taxman
subtract  5% of that, 5% = 5/100 = 0.05
so subtract  (15.5 * 35)(0.05)

then add Mr. Davis generous bonus, the bonus is not taxable,
the wages, including the 10% increase, ARE taxable

A hardware store rent vacuum cleaners that customers for part or all of A day before returning. The Store charges a flat fee Plu
Pavel [41]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represents the amount that the customer pays per hour

for renting the vacuum cleaner before returning it.

Let y represent the flat rate that the store charges a customer for renting the vacuum cleaner.

Let F represent the amount that the store charges a customer for renting the vacuum cleaner for x hours.

A linear function F for the total retail cost of a vacuum cleaner would be

F(x) = x + y

If the customer rents it for n hours, the total amount becomes

F(x) = nx + y
