The best explanation is that bacteria reproduce more rapidly. 
Bacteria adapt to other environmental conditions, such as adaptations to changes in temperature, pH, concentrations of ions such as sodium, and the nature of the surrounding support. Bacteria have been designed to be adaptable . Their surrounding layers and the genetic information for these and other structures associated with a bacterium are capable of alteration.

Slowly eroded away at the rock of the grand canyon until a Canyon was formed this water evaporated into the atmosphere then percerpertated back down creating a cycle that ended with the formation of the grand canyon.

Explanation:

CAM plants are found in the regions characterized by very hot and dry environmental conditions. These plants reduce the water loss through transpiration by exhibiting CAM photosynthesis.  

They open the stomata during night time when the air is cooler and rich in moisture. They take in CO2 during night time and fix it into the oxaloacetate which in turn is converted into malate and is stored in the vacuoles.  

During day time, stomata remain closed to prevent water loss and the CO2 trapped during night time (released by decarboxylation of malate) enter the Calvin cycle.
