Two cars approach each other; both cars are moving westward, one at 85 km/h, the other at 54 km/h. what is the magnitude of the

Good afternoon.

In the reference of the second car, itself is stopped! It is the same thing as adding the opposite speed vector of this car to the rest of the world. See below:

Begginning:

    Car 1                  Car 2
→ 85 km/h              → 54 km

Going to the referential of car 2, adding ← 54 km/h to both cars:

New Reference:

Car 1                                      Car 2
(→85 km/h) + (←54 km/h)       (→ 54 km/h) + (← 54 km/h)

Car 1                     Car 2
→ 31 km/h               0 km/h

So, relative to car 2, car 1 has a velocity of 31 km/h

A 25 N force at 60° is required to set a crate into motion on a floor. What is the value of the static friction?
True [87]
The normal force of the force given is calculated through the equation,

                                 Fn = F(sin θ)
where Fn is the normal force, F is the force, and θ is the angle.

                                Fn = (25 N)(sin 60°) = 21.65 N

The x-component of the force applied is,
                               Fx = (25 N)(cos 60°) = 12.5 N

The value of the coefficient of static friction is calculated through the equation,
                              F = μFn
                              μ = Fx / Fn = 12.5 N / 21.65 N = 0.577

Amanda studies a waveform. She labels parts of the waveform using variables (P,Q,R, and S), as shown in the image.
Ivan

Answer:

Q

Explanation:

To know which symbol defines the wavelength, we must know the definition of wavelength.

Wavelength can be defined as the distance between two successive crests (i.e the highest part) or troughs (the lowest part) of a wave.

Considering the diagram given above, Q shows the distance between two successive crests (i.e the highest part) of the wave. Therefore, Q is the wavelength of the wave given in the diagram above.

What is the distance covered when the speed is 960km/hr and time is 1 hour and 50 minutes?
OLEGan [10]
The distance is 1760 km

The speed is 960 km hour I.e 960 divide by 60 = 16 km/minute
hence in time 1 hour 50 minutes I.e 110 minutes
distance travelled is 110 - 16 = 1760 km
