The distance is 1760 km

The speed is 960 km hour I.e 960 divide by 60 = 16 km/minute
hence in time 1 hour 50 minutes I.e 110 minutes
distance travelled is 110 - 16 = 1760 km

What needs to be the relation between the two forces to cause the upper magnet to float without moving?
OleMash [197]

Answer:

If it points the other way, the fields subtract, for a lower energy, and so the magnet prefers to turn to point in this way. Magnets in uniform fields feel torques which make them turn around if they are not pointing in the right direction, but there is no net force making the magnet want to levitate.

PLEASE HELP ME
sashaice [31]

Given that,

Electrical energy of the motor = 2280 J

Kinetic energy = 1606 J

Wasted energy in thermal and sound energy = 550 J

To find,

The efficiency of the motor in percent.

Solution,

Efficiency is defined as the ratio of useful output energy to the total energy.

Total energy = 2280 J

Useful energy = 1606 J

\eta=\dfrac{1606}{2280}\times 100\\\\=70.43\%

So, the efficiency of the motor is 70.43%.

On the Apollo 14 mission to the moon, astronaut Alan Shepard hit a golf ball with a golf club improvised from a tool. The free-f
Sati [7]
On the moon, the gravitational acceleration is 1/6 of 9.8 m/s², so
g = 9.8/6 = 1.633 m/s²

Launch speed = 35 m/s
Launch angle = 27°  above the horizontal.
Therefore,
The horizontal velocity is
u = 35*cos(27) = 31.1852 m/s
The vertical launch velocity is
v = 35*sin(27) = 15.8897 m/s

Part A
When the ball reaches maximum height, the time requires is given by
0 = v - gt
t = v/g = 15.8897/1.6333 = 9.7286 s
This is one half of the time of flight, which is
2*9.7286 = 19.457 s

Answer: 19.46 s (2 sig. figs)
