w - width

2w + 5 - length

w + w + (2w + 5) + (2w + 5) = 6w + 10 - perimeter

34 cm - perimeter

The equation:

6w + 10 = 34    <em>subtract 10 from both sides</em>

6w = 24    <em>divide both sides by 6</em>

w = 4 cm

2w + 5 = 2(4) + 5 = 8 + 5 = 13 cm

<h3>Answer: Width = 4cm, Length = 13cm</h3>

Which system is represented by the graph?
natulia [17]

Answer:

The answer to your question is the first option

Step-by-step explanation:

Process

1.- Identify the y-intercepts of the lines

blue line   y-intercept = -1

brown line  y-intercept = -2

With this information, we can discard the last option because those lines don't have those y-intercepts.

2.- We observe in the graphs that the lines are increasing so the slopes are positive. From this information, we can discard the second option.

3.- Calculate the slopes of the lines of options 1 and 3

Blue line Points  (0, -1)   (1, 2)

            m = \frac{2 + 1}{1 - 0} = \frac{3}{1} = 3

Brown line Points (0, -2) (1, 1)

            m = \frac{1 + 2}{1 - 0} = 3

As the slopes are 3, we conclude that the answer is the first option.

A Cylinder has a radius of 10 feet and a height of 11.4 feet what is the approximate volume of the cylinder?
miv72 [106K]

Answer:

3579.6 ft^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

First, write out the equation used to find the volume of a cylinder and place the values in place of the variables. The equation is \pir^{2}*h where r is the radius and h is the height. When we place the values of the variables into the equation we get: \pi10^{2}*11.4. Next, square 10 to get 100. This would give you 3.14*100*11.4. When you multiply this together you get 314 times 11.4 which gives you 3579.6 ft cubed.

Clara is growing her hair out and wants it to be no longer than 15 cm but more than 11 cm. Her hair is 7 cm right now and grows
sertanlavr [38]
For this case we have the following compound inequality:
 11 <7 + 0.25t ≤ 15
 We must solve this inequality for time.
 We have then:

 For 11 <7 + 0.25t:

11 <7 + 0.25t
 11 - 7 <0.25t
 4 <0.25t
 4 / 0.25 <t
 16 <t

For 7 + 0.25t ≤ 15:
 7 + 0.25t ≤ 15
 0.25t ≤ 15 - 7
 0.25t ≤ 8
 t ≤ 8 / 0.25
 t ≤ 32

 Therefore, the answer is:
 16 <t ≤ 32

 Answer:

16 <t ≤ 32
