-10x+9x+14-1=4

then you add similar elements which gives you -x+14-1=4

next you subtract the numbers 14-1=13

then subtract 13 from each side -x+13-13=4-13

then you simplify -x = -9

divide both sides my negative 1 -x/-1 = -9/-1

and then you get the answer: x=9

kondor19780726 [428]
4x = student tickets, 7x = adult tickets
4(120) + 7x = 1500
480 + 7x = 1500
7x = 1020
X = 145 adult tickets

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

LM + MN = LN

4+5x = 9x

Subtract 5x from each side

4+5x-5x = 9x-5x

4 = 4x

Divide by 4

4/4 = 4x/4

1 =x

We want MN

5x =5*1 = 5

MN =5

It is the same distance from 0 as the original number

a rational number is any number that can be written as a fraction.
lets say she picked 1/4...the opposite would be -1/4...both are equidistant from 0.
