What happens in the G2 phase of the cell cycle?

The cell prepares for cell division, because the chromosomes are replicated in the S phase & the post phase of mitosis is cytokinesis. also g2 is the phase right before mitosis which is where the cell is dividing.

Its supposes to be preparing for mitosis and it is supposed to be growing
