Answer : The order of temperature change observed from least change to most change is:

Water < Aluminum < Copper < Brass < Silver < Platinum

Explanation :

Specific heat capacity : It is defined as the amount of heat absorbed by one gram of a substance to raise its temperature by one degree Celsius.

Formula used for specific heat capacity :

C=\frac{q}{m\times \Delta T}

where,

C = specific heat capacity

m = mass of a substance

q = heat required

\Delta T = change in temperature of substance

As per question, each material is heated for the same period of time that means amount of heat is same and mass of substance is also same. So, the change in temperature depends only on specific heat.

C\propto \frac{1}{\Delta T}

As, there is a inverse relation between the specific heat and temperature.

As, the more is the specific heat of substance, the less will be the temperature change and vice-versa.

The order of temperature change observed from least change to most change is:

Water < Aluminum < Copper < Brass < Silver < Platinum

Answer:

Temperature change observed in following material from least change to most change:

1. Water

2. Aluminium

3. Copper

4. Brass

5. Silver

6. Platinum

Explanation:

The specific heat is the amount of heat per unit mass required to raise the temperature by one degree Celsius.

Higher the specific heat of a material, more the heat is required to change its temperature.

Thus the arrangement of materials in descending order of their specific heat gives us the list of materials with temperature change from least to most.

A 2-kg object is moving horizontally across a frictionless surface with a speed of 4 m/s. How much force is required to keep the
FinnZ [79.3K]

Answer:

  none

Explanation:

Newton's first law says an object in motion will stay in motion at the same speed and direction unless acted upon by some force.

No force is necessary for the object to keep its speed and direction on a frictionless surface.
