We will solve this by using ratios. like this:

32 preferred juice to milk of 73

x preferred juice to milk of 500

___________________________

x = (32*500)/73

x = 16000/73

x = 219,178 so that's about 200 people

The correct answer is B. 200 people

Allam just finished a great meal at a restaurant in Wisconsin. The sales tax in Wisconsin is 5 percent, and it is costumary to l
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

Tax = $0.75

Tip = $2.25

Total (meal + tax + tip)= $18.00

Step-by-step explanation:

When solving for percentages of a number, such as sale tax and tip, multiplying the decimal equivalent of each percentage to the amount will give you the individual costs.  For example, in this case the sales tax is 5%, the decimal equivalent of 5% = 5 ÷ 100 = 0.05.  To find the amount of tax on Allam's meal, multiply the rate by the amount:

0.05 x $15 = $0.75

Since he plans to leave a 15% tip, we can also multiply the amount of the meal by the planned tip amount:

15 ÷ 100 = 0.15

0.15 x $15 = $2.25

Total amount paid, including tax and tip:

$15 + $0.75 + $2.25 = $18.00
