3.105 x 10^-7

You have to move the decimal point until it is between two numbers that is not 0. Since you have to move it seven times to the right it is 10 to the power of -7. Negative goes right positive goes left. After you move the decimal to the appropriate place, that will be your new number. Then you just put everything together.

lina2011 [118]

Answer:

The area for a square is given by:

A = x^2

And we can find the dimension for one side like this:

x = \sqrt{A}

Replacing we got:

x = \sqrt{49 ft^2}= 7ft

Then since we are interested in the how many feet of fencing does she need, we can find the perimeter given by:

P = 4x and replacing we got:

P = 4*7 ft = 28 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we know that Suzanne want to put a fance around a square garden with an area of 49 ft^2

The area for a square is given by:

A = x^2

And we can find the dimension for one side like this:

x = \sqrt{A}

Replacing we got:

x = \sqrt{49 ft^2}= 7ft

Then since we are interested in the how many feet of fencing does she need, we can find the perimeter given by:

P = 4x and replacing we got:

P = 4*7 ft = 28 ft
