DNA is found in the nucleus of a cell. Depending on the type of cell, different parts of the DNA are used (example; if it's an eye cell, the DNA will use the segment that is dedicated to the functions of the eye). When a protein is needed, the DNA will split and in a process called transcription, the DNA messages are copied onto mRNA. The mRNA then leaves the nucleus through nuclear pores, and then travels through the cytoplasm to locate ribosomes which will produce the proteins needed to express whatever trait it codes for.

Sensation occurs when information:____________ A. interacts with the brain, but the brain cannot make any meaning B. interacts w
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

Is interpreted by the brain.

Explanation:

Sensation is the ability to feel things physically. It can be defined as the process in which the brain collects information through the five sense organs( eyes, nose, skin, tongue, ears) after which the information is interpreted by the brain.

Sensory neurons are responsible for the detection of a stimulus. Neurons helps to transport the message about the stimulus to the brain or spinal cord, which then interprets the information and decides on the specific type of action to carry out.

Sugar changes into energy in
a. golgi bodies
b. mitochondria
c. nucleus
d. nucleolus
hram777 [196]

Answer:

Mithochondria.

Explanation:

You may have heard the phrase "mithochondria is the powerhouse of the cell". This is because, embedded in the inner mithochondrial membrane, there is a protein that is capable of creating ATP by using the energy that results from dissipating the chemoelectric potencial between the intermembrane space and the mithochondrial matrix, by bombing protons (that came from the degradation of sugar) to the mithochondrial matrix.

Indicate which of the following are criteria for maintaining a Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. If the criteria is required select 't
Paladinen [302]

Answer:

- Populations must be very large -True

- The frequency of all genotypes must be equal. False

- Gene flow from other populations must be zero. True

- Matings must be random. True

- There should be no natural selection. True

Explanation:

The criteria for maintaining a Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium are:

 • Random matings: mating probabilities between individuals with determined genotypes depends on the products of frequencies of those genotypes.
 • No superposed generations: each individual can leave their gametes in the pool only once.
 • No mutations: There is no incorporation into the genetic pool of new gametes originated by mutation of preexistent alleles.
 • No migration: There is no incorporation of gametes originated in another population.
 • Infinite population size: the probabilities of randomly taking an A gamete from the pool are p and the probabilities of taking a B gamete from the pool are q.
 • No natural selection: Each individual has the same surviving and reproducing probabilities as any other, contributing proportionally to the gamete pool.
