Answer:

A Chromosome is a long thread-like structure that are known to form the DNA molecule, and chromatid is one half of two identical copy of DNA. The two chromatids are joined together to form the chromosome. And chromatids are made up of a substance called as chromatin.

Chromosomes and chromatids are closely related to each other and both of them are made up of DNA molecules. Chromosomes carry the genetic material and chromatids form the DNA.

The saphenous vein is located on an animal's
Bess [88]
D.foreleg

The saphenous veins -- there are two, the great and the small saphenous veins - serve as the principal veins running superficially (near the surface) up the leg.

The great saphenous vein (also called the large saphenous vein) goes from the foot all the way up to the saphenous opening, an oval aperture in the broad fascia of the thigh, a fibrous membrane through which the vein passes.

The small saphenous vein runs behind the outer malleolus (the protuberance on the outside of the ankle joint), comes up the back of the leg and joins the popliteal vein in the space behind the knee (the popliteal space).

What are the structures found in a root hair cell of a plant?
Licemer1 [7]
Root hair cells are adapted for taking up water and mineral ions by having a large surface area to increase the rate of absorption. They also contain lots of mitochondria , which release energy from glucose during respiration in order to provide the energy needed for active transport.

Can u guys help me answering the following Test Guide and using complete sentences
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

Robert Hooke is known for the first use of the word cell in the sense of a basic unit of organisms (describing the microscopic cavities in cork)

Plants are made of cells, Animals are made of cells, Cells produce other cells.

Eukaryotic have a nucleus meanwhile prokaryotic lacks of it.

Bacteria are prokaryotes

Cholesterol stabilize the cell membrane, less fluid at higher temp and less solid at lower temp.

Chromatin consists of the unravelled condensed structure of DNA for the purpose of packaging into the nucleus whereas chromosome consists of the highest condensed structure of the DNA doublehelix for the proper separation of the genetic material

Plant cell have cell wall, chloroplasts, plastids, and a central vacuole

Refers to going from regions of high concentration of some entity to regions of low concentration, and such movement generally occurs spontaneously,

Facilitated diffusion is the diffusion of molecules assisted by transport proteins

Passive transport no needs energy, move molecules trough phospholipid bilayer

Active transport needs energy, move molecules trough membranes

Endocytosis engulf substances and form vesicles (into the cell) (active transport)

Phagocytosis cell eats solid particles or big substances

Pinocytosis is the cell drinking, liquid substances

Exocytosis vesicles move through the plasma membrane, release the contents (outside the cell) (active transport)

Animal and plant cell organelles: nucleus, nuclear membrane, nucleoplasm, nucleolus, cillia, flagella, Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum, Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum, Golgi apparatus, plasma membrane, vesicles, lysosomes, peroxisomes, centrioles, mitochondria, cytoplasm, cytosol, cytoskeleton, ribosomes, vacuoles, cell wall, chloroplasts.

4. In humans and all creatures constructed of eukaryotic cells, the DNA always resides in the .
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

Nucleus (as nuclear DNA),mitochondrial(mitochondrial DNA) and chloroplasts.

DNA is packed tightly around protein called Histones, in Eukaryotes cells;so that many molecules can easily be held together as chromosomes.

Chromosomes are thread-like structure in nucleus of cells. The histones provide support to the DNA molecule

The part DNA molecule coded for by a polypeptide is GENE, therefore  in the nucleus of cells, DNA contains GENE,and the gene and DNA are packed in chromosomes,DNA appears as circular DNA mitochondria
