A man pulls a suitcase of mass 15 kg with a force "F" inclined at an angle of 60° to the horizontal. The frictional force betwee

n the floor and the wheels of the suitcase is 10 N. What is the force required to produce an acceleration of 0.1 m/s2 on the suitcase?

Answer:

F=23N

Explanation:

The net force applied on the suitcase is the sum of the force F the man applies, the friction, the weight and the normal from the ground. We need only to look at the horizontal component of the forces to solve the question asked. On the horizontal, the net force would be the horizontal component of F minus the frictional force f, which always opposes movement (all the other forces are on the vertical component). So we have:

F_{Nx}=F_x-f

We now apply Newton's second Law on the horizontal:

F_{Nx}=ma_x

And we calculate the horizontal component of F as F_x=Fcos(60)=0.5F, so we have

ma_x=F_x-f=0.5F-f

And to solve for F we do:

ma_x+f=0.5F

F=\frac{ma_x+f}{0.5}

And substitute our values:

F=\frac{(15kg)(0.1m/s^2)+10N}{0.5}=23N

How much horsepower is produced by 2023 z’s 3. 0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine?.
garri49 [273]

400 horsepower is produced by 2023 z's 3. 0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine.

What is horsepower?

The power an engine produced is referred to as horsepower. In the British Imperial System, one horsepower equals 33,000 foot-pounds of work per minute, i.e., the force required to lift a mass of 33,000 pounds off the ground in a single motion for one minute.

The new Z's 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine produces 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. This is 68 horsepower and 80 lb-ft more than the previous 370Z. The 6-speed manual transmission that comes standard or the optional 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters are both paired with this one engine option.

Why does the sun have less gravitational pull on planet far away like Pluto?
blondinia [14]

Answer:

Because the planet is far away from the sun

Explanation:

The closer the planet is to the Sun, the greater the pull of the Sun's gravity, and the faster the planet orbits.

While, over here the Pluto is very far away from the Sun so it will have very little gravitational pull and still keeps revolving around the Sun
