It will be 220 dollars. You add the cost of the mold and the cost of the wax and then you take the sum and multiply it by how many candles you are making which in this case is 8. So when you do all those steps, you get $220. So, $220 is the cost of 8 candles.

Let p(x) = 7x + 5 and r(x) = x - 1. Find and evaluate (r x p) (5)
quester [9]

Answer: 39

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

P(x)=7x+5

r(x)=x-1

r(p(x))=7x+5-1=7x+4

so, r(p(5))

\Rightarrow r(p(5))=7\times 5+4=35+4=39

WHO'S UP AND WANTS TO HELP??
lesya692 [45]
I believe this question is referring to purchasing a discount on a loan's interest rate by putting more towards closing costs. For mortgages, sometimes they will allow you to "buy" a smaller interest rate. For example:
Loan A has an interest rate of 4.5% and no closing costs.
Loan B has an interest rate of 4.375%, but has $1000 in closing costs.

Normally, Loan A would be the better choice if you plan on keeping the home short term, but Loan B would be more beneficial for keeping the loan long-term. I don't really care to spend the time that is necessary to come up with an actual scenario, but I hope that helps enough for you to understand the question.

Which of the following describes the behavior of the graph shown over the interval (-2,2)?
sergejj [24]

Hello!

We are trying to describe the behavior of the graph given in the question.

To help us understand how to solve this question, we would need to understand concavity.

There are two types of concavity:

 • Concave up
 • Concave down

When a graph is concave up, the slope of the line would look like a "U".

When a graph is concave down, the slope of the line would look like a "U" that is flipped upside down.

In this case, we can see that the graph is concave down.

We can tell that the slope is negative due to the fact that the slope is going down, which results in the graph having a negative slope.

We can also tell that the graph is decreasing due to the fact that the line is doing downward.

Answer:

C). negative and decreasing
