Answer:

Before fueling the tank.

Explanation:

All the stated concerns such as the condition of fuel line and fuel vents should always be checked before fueling the tank.

While fueling the tank make sure not to fill it up to brim. Doing this may gets to blast as fuel when heated will not have any space to expand. Fuel vent must be in good condition as it release vacuum and pressure build inside the tank.

Fuel lines helps to move to move fuel from one place to another, hence any damage or leakage in this can result into a big collapse so all these must be properly checked.

You must check to see that fuel lines, connections and fuel vent are in good condition before beginning to fuel.

For all boaters, there are procedures that must be followed in order to ensure fuel safety.

Further Explanation

Before you beginning to fuel, you must:

  1. Ensure you tie the boat securely to fuel dock
  2. Ask all passengers to exit the boat and dock the boat securely
  3. Under no circumstance should allow any one at the fuel dock to smoke
  4. Ensure you turn off anything that would cause a spike such as engines, electrical equipment or fans
  5. Ensure you check the fuel lines, connections and the fuel vents.
  6. Ensure you shut off the entire fuels valve and turn off all open flames
  7. All doors, windows, ports must be closed so as to prevent fumes from gaining entrance into the boat.
  8. Make sure you remove portable fuel tanks and fill them on the dock.
  9. Ensure your fire extinguisher is close to you.

Serious accident can take place when fueling. Don’t fuel your boat at night unless it is a case of emergency and you must use electric lights if you have to fuel after dark.

Also, try to move away from water if you have to refuel so as to protect the water environment.

Which of the following is not considered a major work flow structure?
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

The correct option is;

D. Fabrication

Explanation:

A workflow flow is a detailed business process consisting of a series of required interconnected tasks in directed graph format that is executable by workflow management system.

Considering each of the options, we have

A. Work center

This consists of part of the transformation input to output. The location

B. Project

This is the unique identifier of the task to be processed

C. Assembly line

Forms part of the required input where transformation takes place and items are being processed within the assembly line

D. Fabrication

Here the item is fixed, without motion, therefore this is not considered a major work flow structure

E. Continuous flow

Here again, the items are being processed and are in motion, which constitutes a workflow structure.

Water waves that you might see at the beach move in circular or elliptical paths. What type of mechanical waves are water waves?
vazorg [7]

To find:

Which type of mechanical wave is a water wave?

Explanation:

The water wave is a combination of longitudinal and transverse waves. They are a type of wave called surface waves. The surface waves are the waves that transmit energy in the interface between two mediums.

Final answer:

Thus the correct answer is option C.

Blocks A (mass 3.50 kg) and B (mass 6.50 kg) move on a frictionless, horizontal surface. Initially, block B is at rest and block
Vedmedyk [2.9K]

Answer:

(a) V (A) = 0.7 m/s,

(b) V (A) = 0.7 m/s,

(c) V (B) = 0.7 m/s

(d) u= - 0.60 m/s

(e) v = 0.75 m/s

Explanation:

Given:

M(A) =3.50 Kg, M(B)=6.50 Kg, V(A) = 2.00 m/s, V(B) = 0 m/s

Sol:

a) law of conservation of momentum

M(a) x V(A) + M(B) x V(B) = ( M(a) + M(B) ) V (let V is Common Velocity of Both block)

so 3.50 Kg x 2.00 m/s + 6.50 Kg x 0 m/s = (3.50 Kg + 6.50 Kg ) V

after solving V = 0.7 m/s

After the collision the velocities of the both block will be as the the spring is compressed maximum.

V (A) = 0.7 m/s

b) V(A) = 0.7 m/s ( Part (a) and Part (a) are repeated )

c) as stated above the in the Part (a)

V(B) = 0.7 m/s

d) When the both blocks moved apart after the collision:

Let u=velocity of block A after the collision.

and v = velocity of block B after the collision.

then conservation of momentum

M(a) x V(A) + M(B) x V(B) = M(a) x v + M(B) x u

⇒ 3.50 Kg x 2.00 m/s + 6.50 Kg x 0 m/s = 3.50 Kg x u + 6.50 Kg x v

⇒ 2.00 m/s = u + 1.86 v -----eqn (1) ( dividing both side by 3.50 Kg)

For elastic collision

the velocity relative approach = velocity relative separation

so 2.00 m/s = v-u ----- eqn (2)

⇒v = u + 2.00 m/s

putting this value in eqn (1) we get

2.00 m/s = u + 1.86 (v + 2.00 m/s)

u= - 0.60 m/s

e) putting v= 2.00 m/s in eqn (1)

2.00 m/s = - 2.32 m/s + 1.86 v

v = 0.75 m/s
