To find an estimate, the bets ting to do is to round $48 up to $50. As you've got to find 20%, just divide $50 by 5 $50/5= $10 An estimate for a 20% tip of $48 is $10 Hope this helps :)

Well to find the exact amount you can multiply 48x.20 and that is your tip!

but if you want to find out the total cost  just do 1.20x48 = 57.6

Hope this helps :)

What percent of the surface area of the ottoman is green not including the bottom .The radius of the ottoman is 22 in and the cu
max2010maxim [7]

Answer:

37%

Step-by-step explanation:

Surface area of a cylinder = πr² + 2πrh

With r = 22 and h = (6 + 10) = 16

Area = π * 22² + 2 * π * 22 * 16

Area = 1520.728 + 2211.968

Area = 3732.696 in²

Percentage of green = surface area of green ÷ total surface area

Surface area of green = 2πrh

Surface area of green = 2 * π * 22 * 10

Surface area of green = 1382.48

Percentage of green = 1382.48 / 3732.696 * 100%

Percentage of green = 37%

Find the square. (1/4A + 1/4B)^2<br><br> a) 1/16A^2 + 1/8AB + 1/16B^2<br> b) 1/4A^2 + 1/8AB + 1/4B^2
alisha [4.7K]

(a + b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2

(\dfrac{1}{4}A + \dfrac{1}{4}B)^2 =

= \dfrac{1}{16}A^2 + \dfrac{1}{8}AB + \dfrac{1}{16}B^2

Answer: A.

Another way to solve by factoring 1/4.

(\dfrac{1}{4}A + \dfrac{1}{4}B)^2 =

= [\dfrac{1}{4}(A + B)]^2

= (\dfrac{1}{4})^2(A + B)^2

= \dfrac{1}{16}(A^2 + 2AB + B^2)

= \dfrac{1}{16}A^2 + \dfrac{1}{16}2AB + \dfrac{1}{16}B)^2

= \dfrac{1}{16}A^2 + \dfrac{1}{8}AB + \dfrac{1}{16}B)^2
