This is fairly easy to figure out, you take the original price ($6.00) and times it by the remaining percent. so your discount is 10%? then you take 100% and take away 10% leaving you with 90%, you then take the $6.00 and multiply it by the remaining percentage (90) so 6.00/0.9 and you get 5.4 or $5.40

She'll pay 90% of the original price ($6), so that'll be $5.40.
She'll pay $5.40 for the beads.

National statistics show that 23% of men smoke and 18.5% of women smoke. A random sample of 175 men indicated that 45 were smoke
NeTakaya

Answer:

98% C.I. = [-0.1270, 0.0994]

Step-by-step explanation:

Here

p1= proportion of men smokers

p1= 45/175= 0.2571

p2= proportion of women smokers

p2= 42/155= 0.2709

1) Choose the significance level ∝= 0.02

2) The formula for confidence interval is

(p1^- p2^)- z ∝/2sqrt( p1^(1-p1^)/n1 + ( p2^(1-p2^)/n2))

and

(p1^- p2^) z ∝/2sqrt( p1^(1-p1^)/n1 + ( p2^(1-p2^)/n2))

3) The z value is 2.05

4) Calculations:

(p1^- p2^)- z ∝/2sqrt( p1^(1-p1^)/n1 + ( p2^(1-p2^)/n2))

Putting the values

= 0.2571-0.2709)(-2.05) sqrt ( 0.2571(1-0.2571)/175+ 0.2709(1-0.2709)/155)

=-0.1270 ( using calculator)

And

(p1^- p2^)z ∝/2sqrt( p1^(1-p1^)/n1 + ( p2^(1-p2^)/n2))

Putting the values

= 0.2571-0.2709)(2.05) sqrt ( 0.2571(1-0.2571)/175+ 0.2709(1-0.2709)/155)

=0.0994 ( using calculator)

and Putting ± 2.05 in the confidence interval formula we get limits (-0.1270, 0.0994)

What are the intercepts of y = 4x − 2?
Hitman42 [59]
Finding the intercepts is a very straight-forward process. First set y = 0 and solve the equation for x. That is your y-intercept! Then go back to the original equation and set x = 0 and solve for y. That is your x-intercept! For a linear equation like this there is only one x-intercept. For any "function" y(x) there can by definition be only one y-intercept.

Solve the simultaneous equations:
3x + 2y = 35
2x + 3y = 30
lesya [120]

Answer:

nuber 1

Simplifying

3x + 2y = 35

Solving

3x + 2y = 35

Solving for variable 'x'.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-2y' to each side of the equation.

3x + 2y + -2y = 35 + -2y

Combine like terms: 2y + -2y = 0

3x + 0 = 35 + -2y

3x = 35 + -2y

Divide each side by '3'.

x = 11.66666667 + -0.6666666667y

Simplifying

x = 11.66666667 + -0.6666666667y

Find the missing angle according to the Triangle Exterior Angle Theorem
Alexxandr [17]

Answer:

k = 36

Step-by-step explanation:

By exterior angle theorem:

k \degree + 110 \degree = 146 \degree \\ \\ k \degree = 146 \degree - 110 \degree \\ \\ k \degree = 36\degree \\ \\ k = 36
