I'm assuming that you mean

\dfrac{uv}{u+v}

because if you meant

\dfrac{uv}{u}+v

then u would simplify and you couldn't make it the subject.

Under this assumption, we start with

F=\dfrac{uv}{u+v}

We multiply both sides by u+v

F(u+v)=uv

We expand the left hand side:

Fu+Fv=uv

We move all terms involving u to the left and all terms not involving u to the right:

Fu-uv=-Fv

We factor u on the left hand side:

u(F-v)=-Fv

We divide both sides by F-v

u=\dfrac{-Fv}{F-v}

57°
noname [10]

Answer:

c = 29

Step-by-step explanation:

Law of sines is given as: \frac{a}{sin(A)} = \frac{b}{sin(B)} = \frac{c}{sin(C)}

B = 180 - (57 + 44) = 79°

b = 41

C = 44°

c = ?

Thus:

\frac{b}{sin(B)} = \frac{c}{sin(C)}

Substitute

\frac{41}{sin(79)} = \frac{c}{sin(44)}

Multiply both sides by sin 44

\frac{41}{sin(79)}*sin(44) = \frac{c}{sin(44)}*sin(44)

\frac{41*sin(44)}{sin(79)}*sin(44) = c

c = 29.0140633 ≈ 29

Triangle ABC is translated 3 units to the left and downward 10 units to form triangle A'B'C', then dilated by a factor of 2 to f
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

Triangle A"B"C" are similar triangles to triangle ABC and all corresponding angles are congruent. Also, triangle A"B"C" is twice the size of triangle ABC.

<h3>What is transformation?</h3>

Transformation is the movement of a point from its initial location to a new location. Types of transformations are<em> reflection, rotation, translation and dilation.</em>

Translation is the movement of a point either <em>up, left, right or down</em> in the coordinate plane.

Triangle ABC is translated 3 units to the left and downward 10 units to form triangle A'B'C', then dilated by a factor of 2 to form triangle A''B''C''.

Hence:

Triangle A"B"C" are similar triangles to triangle ABC and all corresponding angles are congruent. Also, triangle A"B"C" is twice the size of triangle ABC.
