A resistor with R1=25.0 ohm is connected to a battery that has internal resistance and electrical energy is dissipated by R1 at

rate of 36.0 W . If a second resistor with R2= 15.0 ohm is connected in series with R1 , what is total rate at which electrical energy is dissipated by the two resistors

Use the power and R1 to find the voltage of the battery
P = V²/R
V = √(PR) = √(36.0 W)(25.0 ohm) = 30 V

Now find the equivalent resistance of the new configuration
R_equivalent = R1 + R2 = 40 ohm

Now find the power (energy rate)
P = V²R = (30 V)²/(40 ohm) = 22.5 W

How is power defined? Question 4 options: the quantity of work accomplished the direction of the work the total distance an obje
GarryVolchara [31]

Power can be defined as the rate at which work is accomplished.

Option D is the correct answer.

Power

The work done by an object in a given time interval is called the power of that object.

Suppose an external force F is applied to any object for the time interval T seconds. Due to this external force, the object will perform some amount of work for the time T seconds. This work W done by the object for the time interval T seconds is called the power of that object.

Power can be defined in mathematical term which is given below.

P = \dfrac {W}{T} \;\rm Watts

Thus the power can also be defined as the work done by the object per unit time interval.

Hence we can conclude that option D is the correct answer.

During nuclear fission and fusion, matter that seems to disappear is actually converted into
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

Energy (I need one more brainlist can i has?)

Explanation:

- Nuclear fusion occurs when two light nuclei fuse together into a heavier nucleus

- Nuclear fission occurs when a heavy, unstable nucleus breaks apart into two or more lighter nuclei

In both processes, the mass of the products is always smaller than the mass of the initial nuclei. This means that part of the initial mass has been converted into something else: into energy, which is released in the process.

The amount of energy released in the process can be calculated by using the famous Einstein's equivalence:

where m is the difference between the mass of the product and the initial mass of the nuclei, and c is the speed of light.

The surface of the Earth changes from processe such as erosion. Which of these changes to Earth's surface is an example of erosi
Ad libitum [116K]

Answer:

D. the wind picking up dust and carrying it

Explanation:

Erosion is a process in which an agent transfer the top soil to another region, thereby exposing the lower soil. These agents have the ability to move the top layer of soil and deposit it at another place. The major agents in this case are; a running or flowing body of water and wind.

Therefore, the change to the Earth's surface that is an example of erosion is the wind picking up dust and carrying it. Thereby exposing the lower layers.

When an object of weight w is suspended from the center of a massless string?
igomit [66]
I attached a picture of the diagram associated with this question.

Now,
When we check the vertical components of the tension in the rope, we will find that we have two equal components acting upwards.
These two components support the weight and each of them has a value of TcosΘ

The net force acting on the body is zero.
Fnet=Force of tension acting upwards-Force due to weight acting downwards
0 = 2TcosΘ -W
W = 2TcosΘ
T = W / 2cosΘ
