The solutions to a function are what points on the coordinate plane when you graph the line?
vodka [1.7K]

The solutions to a function are the points where the graph of the function crosses the x-axis, but only if the solutions are real numbers. If the function has imaginary solutions, then you don't see those on the graph.

The minimum point on the graph of the equation y=f(x) is (−1,−3). What is the minimum point on the graph of the equation y=f(x−5
prohojiy [21]

Answer:

The minimum point is (4,-3)

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

If the new equation is

y=f(x-5)

then

The Rule of the translation is

(x,y) -----> (x+5,y)

That means ----> The translation is 5 units at right

so

(−1,−3) ----> (-1+5,-3)

(−1,−3) ----> (4,-3)

So, what i noticed is that there is a pattern regarding the grayed blocks. The first one starts off with 2, then 4, then 6. It is adding 2 each time, ex; 2+2+4, 4+2=6. The answer would be that the sixth one would have 12 grayed blocks.

Find the missing probability.<br> P(A) = 0.4; P(B) = 0.7; P(A or B)<br> ; P(A and B) = 0.3
solong [7]

Given:

P(A)=0.4, P(B)=0.7, P(A\text{ and }B)=0.3

To find:

The value of P(A\text{ or }B).

Solution:

We know that,

P(A\text{ and }B)=P(A\cap B)

P(A\text{ or }B)=P(A\cup B)

It means, we have P(A)=0.4, P(B)=0.7, P(A\cap B)=0.3 and we need to find the value of  P(A\cup B).

P(A\cup B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B)

P(A\cup B)=0.4+0.7-0.3

P(A\cup B)=1.1-0.3

P(A\cup B)=0.8

Therefore, the value of P(A\text{ or }B) is 0.8.
