A liquid flowing from a vertical pipe has a very definite shape as it flows from the pipe. To get the equation for this shape, a

ssume that the liquid is in free fall once it leaves the pipe. Just as it leaves the pipe, the liquid has speed v0 and the radius of the stream of liquid is r0.
A) Find an equation for the speed of the liquid as a function of the distance y it has fallen.
B)Combining this with the equation of continuity, find an expression for the radius of the stream as a function of y.
C)If water flows out of a vertical pipe at a speed of 1.20 m/s, how far below the outlet will the radius be one-half the original radius of the stream?

In the solar panel system presented in the video, which of the following was necessary to generate usable electrical current for
anastassius [24]

Answer:

A and B are both requirements for a solar panel to generate usable current at home.

Explanation:

Solar panel operates through a group of cells, where each one of them captures/convert electrons making them move from one polarised region to another. The excited electrons can move from a region in excess of electrons (p region) to a region with a lack of electrons (n region).

This physical effect of electron moving from one side to another creates what we know as current flow.

This current flow from a solar panel does not vary with time in a determined frequency, so it's constant. This is the definition of a DC current. Since the household devices work with AC (variable sinusoidal current Alternate Current) a converter DC to AC is required.

Due to the fact that the solar panels only operate in the day when they recibe direct sunlight, there is the need to have batteries to store the energy for the night and the times where the sunlight is not enough to provide enough electron flow.

Describe what it means if a chemical or physical property is periodic
vesna_86 [32]
It means that you consider the elements as a list organized by atomic number, the property is seen to repeat over and over as you move through that list.

how long does it take a car to accelerate from 3.4m/s to 20.9m/s if the average acceleration is 6.0m/s (squared).
Gre4nikov [31]

Average acceleration is the ratio of the change in velocity to the time it takes for that change to occur:

a_{\mathrm{av}}=\dfrac{\Delta v}{\Delta t}

We want to find \Delta t:

6.0\,\dfrac{\mathrm m}{\mathrm s^2}=\dfrac{20.9\,\frac{\mathrm m}{\mathrm s}-3.4\,\frac{\mathrm m}{\mathrm s}}{\Delta t}

\implies\Delta t=2.9\,\mathrm s
