A.

112 kPa

Explanation:

We’ll use the combined gas law equation;

P₁V₁/T₁ = P₂V₂/T₂

Because the volume of the gas remains the same, then the V₁ and V₂ cancel out leaving us with;

P₁/T₁ = P₂/T₂

We can now replace the variables with the values given in the question. Remember to convert the temperatures to Kelvin;

25 degrees C = 298.15 K

50 degrees C = 323.15 K

103/298.15 = P₂/323.15

103/298.15 * 323.15 = P₂

111.63659 = P₂

= 112 kPa

Passing an electric current through a sample of water (H2O) can cause the water to decompose into hydrogen gas (H2) and oxygen g
Setler [38]
The balanced chemical reaction is:

2H2O= 2H2 + O2

We are given the amount of oxygen to be produced in the reaction. The starting point for the calculations will be this amount.

50 g ( 1 mol O2 / 32 g O2 ) ( 2 mol H2O / 1 mol O2 ) ( 18.01 g H2O / 1 mol H2O) = 56.28 g of H2O is needed.

Therefore, the correct answer is the last option.
