10 men can do the work in 8 days. how many men should be reduced to finish the work in 10 days
e-lub [12.9K]

If Reducing 2 men will bbe enough too finish the work in 10 days

For rate of work use the formualar

rate of work = quantity of work / duration

10 men can do the work at a rate of  =  1 / 8

x men can do same work at a rate of = 1 / 10

x * ( 1 / 8 ) = 10 * ( 1 / 10 )

x = 1 * 8 = 8

therefore 8 men can do the work in 10 days

number of men reduced = 10 men - 8 men = 2 men

Hope it helped

Scenario: There are 60 boys and 72 girls in a school. The principal wants to divide the students into gender-specific groups (al
mr_godi [17]

Answer: Hence, the correct size of boys group is 5 and girls is 6.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of boys = 60

Number of girls = 72

We need to divide the students into gender specific groups of the largest possible size.

For this we will find "HCF of 60 and 72" which is equal to "12".

So, the correct size of each group is 12 in which number of boys would be \dfrac{60}{12}=5

Number of girls would be \dfrac{72}{12}=6

Hence, the correct size of boys group is 5 and girls is 6.

11) tan45 = x/13     x = 13

   cos45 = 13/y     y = 13√2

12) sin30 = 4/x      x = 8

     tan30 = 4/y     y = 4√3

13) sin60 = 21/x    x = 21(2/√3) = 42/√3

    y = xcos60 = (42/√3)(1/2) = 21/√3

14) cos45 = x/22   x = 22/√2

     sin45 = y/22   y = 22/√2

15) Height = 24sin30 = 12

cos 45 = 12/x   x = 12/√2

tan45 = y/12      y = 12

cos30 = z/24    z = 24(√(3)/2) = 12/√3

40 <= x =<100 inequality shows the right answer. Explanation:- Since she has to reach the $200 mark by selling cakes at the rate of $5 each. So, the minimum number of cakes should be 200/5 which is equals to 40. Hence minimum value of number of cakes (x) = 40 It is given that She has 100 cakes this implies that maximum value of x can be 100. hence X can be any value between 40 to 100 both inclusive.
