The point-slope form can be simplified from the 2-point form.

y +4 = (-4-2)/(1-(-8))*(x -1) . . . . 2-point form
y +4 = -6/9(x -1)
y +4 = -2/3(x -1) . . . . . point-slope form

_____
Above is the usual form associated with the term "point-slope form." I prefer a form with the y-value of the point added to both sides:
.. y = -2/3(x -1) -4

How much will the taxi driver earn if he takes one passenger 4.8 miles in another passenger 7.3 miles explain your process
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

12.1x+t

Step-by-step explanation:

since we do not get a specific amount we must add 4.8 and 7.3 and substitute the amount the driver earns per mile with x and use t as a variable if they charge something like $5 just to get in before driving

The fish population of Lake Collins is decreasing at a rate of 5% per year. In 2004 there were about 1,350 fish. Write an expone
ad-work [718]

Answer:

Part 1) The exponential function is equal to y=1,350(0.95)^{x}

Part 2) The population in 2010 was  992\ fish

Step-by-step explanation:

Part 1) Write an exponential decay function that models this situation

we know that

In this problem we have a exponential function of the form

y=a(b)^{x}

where

y ----> the fish population of Lake Collins since 2004

x ----> the time in years

a is the initial value

b is the base

we have

a=1,350\ fish

b=(100\%-5\%)=95\%=0.95

substitute

y=1,350(0.95)^{x} ----> exponential function that represent this scenario

Part 2) Find the population in 2010

we have

y=1,350(0.95)^{x}

so

For x=(2010-2004)=6\ years

substitute

y=1,350(0.95)^{6}=992\ fish

Factor the expression <br> 5x^2 -22x -15
Murljashka [212]
5x^2-22x-15=5x^2\underbrace{-25x+3x}_{-22x}-15\\\\=(5x^2-25x)+(3x-15)=5x(x-5)+3(x-5)\\\\=\boxed{(x-5)(5x+3)}

I need help!! It’s proving trapezoids theorems
sweet [91]

Because ABCD is an isosceles trapezoid, the angles A and D are congruent.

BA and CD are congruent (given) and AD is congruent to itself (reflexive property).

Then triangles BAD and CDA form a pair of SAS triangles, so they are congruent.

BD and CA are corresponding parts in those triangles, so they are congruent (CPCTC).
