Surface area of the fig is 2350.9 sq m (approx).

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Diameter = 34 m

so, radius (r) = 17 m

Height of the cylinder (h) = 12 m

Slant height of the cone (l) = 20 m

To find the surface area of the fig

Surface area of the  fig = surface area of cylinder + surface area of cone

Formula

Surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

Surface area of cone = πrl

So,

Surface area of cylinder = 2π×17×12 sq m = 408π sq m

Surface area of cone = π×17×20 = 340π sq m

Surface area of the  fig = 408π+340π sq m = 748π sq m

= 2350.9 sq m (approx)

Order the side from greatest to least.<br> Η.<br> 28°<br> 118°<br> K<br> J<br> side [Select ]
KIM [24]

Answer:

HJ>KJ>HK

Step-by-step explanation:

Side opposite to the largest angle is the largest.

Side opposite to smallest angle is the smallest.

ang K = 118° ang J = 28°

ang K + ang J + ang H = 180° (Sum of all the angles in the triangle is 180°)

118°+28°+angH=180° (Putting the values of ang K & ang J)

146°+angH=180°

ang H=180°-146°

ang H=34°

128°>34°>28°

ang K>ang H>ang J

Here, ang K is the largest, so the side opposite to it i.e. HJ will be the largest side.

Smaller than ang K and bigger than ang J is ang H, so the side opposite to it i.e. KJ will be smaller than HJ but bigger than HK.

Ang J is the smallest angle, so the side opposite to it i.e. HK will be the smallest.

HJ>KJ>HK.

Iver a 24-hour period, the tide in a harbor can be modeled by one period of a sinusoidal function. The tide measures 4.35 ft at
enot [183]

Answer:

f(x)=3.95sin(\frac{\pi}{12}x)+4.35

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Recall:</u>

  • Sinusoidal Function -> f(x)=a*sin(bx+c)+d
  • Amplitude -> a
  • Period -> \frac{2\pi}{|b|}
  • Phase Shift -> -\frac{c}{b}
  • Vertical Shift/Midline -> d

<u>Given:</u>

  • Amplitude -> a=8.3-4.35=3.95
  • Period -> \frac{2\pi}{|b|}=\frac{2\pi}{|24|}=\frac{2\pi}{24}=\frac{\pi}{12}
  • Phase Shift -> -\frac{c}{b}=-\frac{0}{24}=0
  • Vertical Shift/Midline -> d=\frac{8.3+0.4}{2}=\frac{8.7}{2}=4.35

<u>Conclusion:</u>

The equation that models the situation is f(x)=3.95sin(\frac{\pi}{12}x)+4.35

Hope this helped! I've attached a graph of the function so you can understand it better!
