Acid rain can be destructive to both the natural environment and human-made structures. The equation below shows a reaction that

occurs that may lead to the formation of acid rain. 3NO2 + H2O 2HNO3 + NO How many moles (precise to the nearest 0.01 mol) of nitric acid are produced from 300.00 mol of nitrogen dioxide? 200.00 mol 200.09 mol 450.00 mol 450.02 mol

<h3><u>Answer;</u></h3>

= 200.00 moles

<h3><u>Explanation;</u></h3>

From the equation;

3NO2 + H2O → 2HNO3 + NO

The mole ratio of Nitrogen dioxide to nitric acid is 3 : 2; this means that for every 3 moles of nitrogen dioxide used in the reaction, 2 moles of nitric acid are produced.

Therefore; 300 moles of nitrogen dioxide will produce;

    = (300/3) × 2

     = 200 moles of Nitric acid.

<em>300 moles of nitrogen dioxide will produce 200.00 moles of nitric acid</em>.

12.5 g of copper are reacted with an excess of chlorine gas, and 25.4 g of copper(II) chloride are
Alika [10]

Answer:

Percent yield = 94.5%

Theoretical yield =  26.89 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of copper = 12.5 g

Mass of copper chloride produced = 25.4 g

Theoretical yield = ?

Percent yield = ?

Solution:

Cu + Cl₂  →  CuCl₂

Number of moles of Copper:

Number of moles = mass/ molar mass

Number of moles = 12.5 g/ 63.55 g/mol

Number of moles = 0.2 mol

Now we will compare the moles of copper with copper chloride.

          Cu          :           CuCl₂

           1             :              1

          0.2          :            0.2

Theoretical yield:

Mass of copper chloride:

Mass = Number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.2 mol × 134.45 g/mol

Mass = 26.89 g

Percent yield:

Percent yield = Actual yield / theoretical yield  × 100

Percent yield = 25.4 g/26.89 g × 100

Percent yield = 94.5%

the barometric pressure in breckenridge colorado is (elevation 9600 frleet) is 580 mmhg. how many atmospheres is there
solmaris [256]

Answer:

\large \boxed{\text{0.763 atm}}

Explanation:

1 atm = 760 mmHg

\text{Pressure} = \text{580 mmHg} \times \dfrac{\text{1 atm}}{\text{760 mmHg}} = \textbf{0.763 atm}\\\\\text{The atmospheric pressure in Breckenridge is  $\large \boxed{\textbf{0.763 atm}}$}
