Write 4-5 sentences about what the early scientists from Aristotle to Galileo thought about the nature of motion. So far I have

this written, According to Aristotle the nature of motion is anything that an object does naturally without being forced. An example would be the sun rising naturally in the east, crossing the sky, and then setting in the west. but i need some help with what Galileos theory about the nature of motion was.

Aristotle would say that an object comes to rest because it got tired. Aristotle came up with ideas, but never tested them. Galileo used experiments and mathematical models to analyze motion. He used a slanted inclined plane an order to slow down the acceleration due to gravity on an object. He found out that an object accelerates as it falls.

Answer:

The main results obtained by Galileo in mechanics were the law of inertia and the principle of relativity.

Explanation:

The main results obtained by Galileo in mechanics were the law of inertia and the principle of relativity, according to which the uniform and rectilinear motion of a system of bodies is not reflected in the processes that occur in that system.

Galileo composed a text on movement in which he criticized the Aristotelian explanations of the fall of bodies and the movement of projectiles. Galileo laid the physical and mathematical foundations for the analysis of motion, which allowed him to demonstrate the laws of falling bass in a vacuum and to elaborate a complete theory of projectile firing.

One system consists of two like charges (q1 and q2) separated by a distance r. A second system consists of two charges that are
olganol [36]

fyt as per the question the magnitude of two like charges are given as q1 and q2.the separation distance is given as r unit.hence the potential energy is given as-P.E=+\frac{1}{4\pi\epsilon} \frac{q1*q2}{r^2}

here the potential energy is positive which means the force between two charges is repulsive.the potential energy is maximum which indirectly denotes that the system is unstable.due to this repulsion the smaller charge may accelerate.

coming to the same charges of opposite nature i.e unlike charges-here the magnitude of charges are same and separation distance is also are,so the potential energy will be given as-P.E=-\frac{1}{4\pi\epsilon}\frac{q1*q2}{r^2}

here the potential energy is negative .so the system of two charges are attracted by each other.
