I think the correct answer would be the first and the third option. The metabolic defects that are associated with stone formation are hyperparathyroidism and hyperthyroidism. Stone formation are caused by the crystallization of minerals that are not absorbed by the body properly usually it consists of calcium compounds. Both hyperparathyriodism and hyperthyriodism would cause the malabsorption of these minerals which is eventually would be linked to the formation of the stones.

How do neurofibrils differ from nerve fibers?
Leya [2.2K]

What do you notice about the ligands and their receptors in these images?
aliina [53]

Answer:

What can be noticed about the ligands and their receptor is that the configuration of both coincide, as a key would with its lock, which demonstrates the specificity of a receptor by its ligand.

Explanation:

A ligand corresponds to a molecule considered a signal or a messenger, while the receptor is a protein on the cell surface, with the capacity to accept a ligand.

Ligands and receptors constitute pairs that complement each other, so that each receptor can bind to a specific ligand, similar to what happens with a key and a lock.

Once the ligand-receptor complex is formed, changes occur inside the cell, which define a certain effect.

Compare the two new strands of dna are they the same or different? why?
Leni [432]
The two new strands are different from each other ,both of them have only one strand from the original DNA and the other strand is complementary . eg if a strand has the following base pairs .. AACCGGT ( consider this as the strands)
                                                           TTGGCCA
now they are going to be seperated AACCGGT TTGGCCA
                                                         TTGGCCT AACCGGT
as u can see the two NEW strands formed are similar but NOT IDENTICAL to each other .
