Answer:

physical, state, melting, vapour, evaporation, condensation, freezing, sublimation, deposition or reverse sublimation, chemical, energy, effevescence and liquids are suitable terms to fill the gaps. See the explanaition

Explanation:

Changes of state are physical changes in matter. They are reversible changes that do not involve changes in matter's chemical makeup or chemical properties. Common changes of state include melting, freezing, sublimation, deposition, condensation, and vaporization. Thus

A ________physical_____________ change does not change what a substance is. If heat is added to ice, a physical change occurs because only the ______state_________ of matter has changed. The term for changing a solid to a liquid is _____melting____________. Adding more heat can turn the water into a gas, or ___vapour__________. The term for changing a liquid to a gas is _______evaporation___________. Changes of state can be reversed as well. A gas turns into a liquid by ________condensation_____________. A liquid turns into a solid by _________freezing____________. On very rare occasions, a solid turns into a gas through _______sublimation______________. The reverse is a gas turning into solid, or _______deposition or reverse sublimation___. ________chemical______________ change produces a new substance because a chemical reaction has taken place. We know baking a cake is a chemical change because the flour, eggs, sugar, and other ingredients cannot be returned to their original structures. We know that a chemical change occurs when heat or ________energy___________ is released or absorbed, when a ______effevescence________ or bubbles form, or when a solid or ________liquids________________ forms.

Also note the following points about physical and chemical change.

 • Physical Change

Physical changes are changes in which no bonds are broken or formed. This means that the same types of compounds or elements that were there at the beginning of the change are there at the end of the change. Because the ending materials are the same as the beginning materials, the properties (such as color, boiling point, etc) will also be the same. A physical change is a change to a sample of matter in which some properties of the material change, but the identity of the matter does not. When we heat the liquid water, it changes to water vapor. But even though the physical properties have changed, the molecules are exactly the same as before.

 • Chemical Change

Chemical changes occur when bonds are broken and/or formed between molecules or atoms. This means that one substance with a certain set of properties (such as melting point, color, taste, etc) is turned into a different substance with different properties. Chemical changes are frequently harder to reverse than physical changes.

One good example of a chemical change is burning a candle. The act of burning paper actually results in the formation of new chemicals (carbon dioxide and water).

What cells do you think is in metaphase? why?
Tcecarenko [31]
Etaphase is a stage during the process of cell division (mitosis or meiosis). Usually, individual chromosomes cannot be observed in the cell nucleus. However, during metaphase of mitosis or meiosis the chromosomes condense and become distinguishable as they align in the center of the dividing cell.

dezoksy [38]
Einstein’s Theory of Relativity was built on the research and ideas of other scientists. The Theory of Relativity proposes that the speed of light is aconstant. The statement that explains why this is considered to be a scientific theory is that the majority of the scientific community voted on this theory over other possible explanations.

A bike tire at a pressure of 2.4 atm and a
hjlf

Answer:

5.4 atm

Explanation:

P•V/T = P'•V'/T'

2.4•2.2/290 = P'•2/296

5.28/290 = P'/296 Multiply both sides by 296

1562.88/290 = P'

I'm = 5.4 atm

Review the map that shows earthquake zones as yellow lines and active volcanoes as red dots. what pattern can you determine abou
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

A map that shows the location of volcanoes is called a Geologic Map. This kind of map contains information about the geological history and condition of volcanic sites.

What do Geologic Maps indicate?

Geologic maps indicate the following:

 • the location of volcanos
 • age of rock deposits found near the volcano
 • which volcanoes are active and those that aren't
 • types of rocks at these sites
 • faults fracture etc.

Note that the map specific to the question is unavailable hence the general response.
