It is necessary to know that the gravity of the earth accelerates objects at a rate of 9.8 meters per second squared and then use the laws of gravitation formulated by Isaac Newton

The distance that an object travels under constant acceleration is given by the formula:

 distance = 1/2 × acceleration × time2 + intial speed × time

The initial speed is zero because the balls are dropped and not thrown. Therefore, we can solve for time:

 time2 = (2 × distance) / acceleration

Substituting distance = 54 meters and acceleration = 9.8 meters/second2, we get

 time2 = (2 × 54 meters) / (9.8 meters/second2) = 11.0 seconds2

The square root gives:

 time = 3.3 seconds

Veronica claims that she can throw a dart at a dartboard from a distance of 2 m and hit the 5 cm wide bullseye if she throws the
wariber [46]
First, find the amount of time for the dart to hit the board using this equation: t = d/v

t = 2 m/ 15 m/s = 0.133 s

Then, find the height the dart has fallen from its initial point using this equation: h = 0.5gt²

h = 0.5(9.81 m/s²)(0.133 s)² = 0.0872 m or 8.72 cm

Since the diameter of the bull's eye is only 5 cm, and you started at the same level of the top of the bull's eye, that means the maximum allowance would only be 5 cm. Since it exceeded to 8.72 cm, it means that Veronica will not hit the bull's eye.

Cause and Effect :
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

The thyroid gland produces thyroxine (referred to as T4), which is a relatively inactive prohormone. The highly active hormone is triiodothyronine (referred to as T3).

Key actions of adrenaline include increasing the heart rate, increasing blood pressure, expanding the air passages of the lungs, enlarging the pupil in the eye (see photo), redistributing blood to the muscles and altering the body's metabolism, so as to maximise blood glucose levels (primarily for the brain).

Can someone please help me answer 14 and 15??
ziro4ka [17]
14. The Aurora is an incredible light show caused by collisions between electrically charged particles released from the sun that enter the earth's atmosphere and collide with gases such as oxygen and nitrogen. The lights are seen around the magnetic poles of the northern and southern hemispheres.

15.
About 5.4 billion years from now, the sun will have exhausted all of its hydrogen. The sun's core will get really hot and dense, thus shrinking; however, the outer region of the sun will expand and grow. ... Even if the expanding dying sun doesn't reach Earth, the sun's high temperatures will completely burn the planet.
