ou and your friend Alex are looking to buy tickets for a big concert. You know that Ticket System charges $22 per person plus a

$10 surcharge per transaction. You and Alex think you can get a better deal at Max Tickets, which charges $20 per ticket and surcharges $16 for each transaction. Or Ticket Meister, which charges $25 for a ticket and surcharges $4 per transaction, both of which are also selling tickets for the event. Pick one of these two sellers, and use your knowledge of linear systems to compare it with Ticket System and figure out who has the better deal.

I would pick Ticket Meister because if you add both of the costs all together, it costs less then all of the others..... so that is a way better deal then the other dealers...... Hope this helps!!!!!

A countries population in 1991 was 147 million. In 1998 it was 153 million. Estimate the population in 2017 using the exponentia
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

The population in 2017  is 171 million

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's assume population starts from 1991

so,

initial population is 147 million

so, A=147

we can use formula

P=Ae^{kt}

we can plug A=147

P=147e^{kt}

In 1998:

t=1998-1991=7

P=153

now, we can plug these values into formula and find k

153=147e^{7k}

Divide both sides by 147

\frac{147e^{7k}}{147}=\frac{153}{147}

e^{7k}=\frac{51}{49}

\ln \left(e^{7k}\right)=\ln \left(\frac{51}{49}\right)

k=\frac{\ln \left(\frac{51}{49}\right)}{7}

k=0.00572

now, we can plug it back

and we get

P=147e^{0.00572t}

In 2017:

t=2017-1991=26

we can plug it and find P

P=147e^{0.00572\times 26}

P=170.57

So,

The population in 2017  is 171 million

Just put the options in the inequalities and check if they are true or not :

A ) ( - 1 , 0 )

2x + y \leqslant 3

2( - 1) + 0 \leqslant 3

- 2 \leqslant 3 \:  \:  \: kinda \: true

And

x - y <  - 3

- 1 - 0 <  - 3

- 1 <  - 3 \:  \:  \: false

Thus A is wrong

B ) ( - 1 , - 1 )

2( - 1) + ( - 1) \leqslant 3

- 2 - 1 \leqslant 3

- 3 \leqslant  3 \:  \: kinda \: true

And

- 1 - ( - 1)  <  - 3

- 1 + 1<  - 3

0 <  - 3 \:  \:  \: false

Thus B is wrong

_____________________________________________

C ) ( - 2 , 4 )

2( - 2) + 4 \leqslant   3

- 4 + 4 \leqslant  3

0 \leqslant  3 \:  \: kinda \: true

And

- 2 - 4 <  - 3

- 6 <  - 3 \:  \:  \: true

Thus C is the correct option
