Power = (voltage) x (current)

13 watts = (6 volts) x (current)

Divide each side by (6 volts):

Current = (13 watts) / (6 volts)

Current = (13/6) Amperes

<em>Current = 2.17 Amperes</em>

When you stretch a spring 33 cm past its natural length, it exerts a force of 6 N. What is the spring constant of this spring?
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

The spring formula:

       Force =  - (spring constant) · (distance stretched or squashed)

6 N  =  - (spring constant) · (33 cm)

                   =  - (0.33 m) · (spring constant)

          Spring constant  =   - (6 N) / (0.33 m)

                                      =    - 18.18 N/meter .

The negative signs means that the spring always wants to go in the
opposite direction from where you forced it, and return to its relaxed
length.  If you stretch it, it tries to get shorter, and if you compress it,
it tries to get longer.

A car enters a freeway with initial velocity of 15.0 m/s and with con stant rate of acceleration, reaches a velocity of 22.5 m/s
LiRa [457]

Answer:

a) The acceleration is 2.14 m/s^{2}

b) The distance traveled by the car is 65.61 m

c) The average velocity is 18.75 m/s

Explanation:

Using the equations that describe an uniformly accelerated motion:

a) a=\frac{v_f - v_o}{t} =\frac{22.5m/s - 15.0 m/s}{3.50s}

b) d= d_0 + v_0 t + \frac{1}{2} a t^{2} = 0 +15.0 x 3.5 + \frac{2.14x3.50^{2} }{2} = 65.61 m

c) v_m =\frac{d}{t}=\frac{65.61}{3.5}  =18.75 m/s
