Well, first of all, you have to compare the two statements
1 fence= $25
X= $165
The X represents the unknown number of fences which you have to find.
The next step is to cross and multiply which means 165 will multiply 1 and X will multiply 25
Therefore:
165 x 1= X x 25
165=25X
Next, divide both sides by 25
165/25=25X/25
165 divided by 25 is 6.6 which is approximately 7
Hope I helped. Good luck

If a celebrity charges $0.125 million for a 5 second commercial, how much will he be paid for a 45-second appearance?
Nitella [24]
I got a. I multiplied 0.125 by 45 and got 5.625. I then divided 5.625 by five an got 1.125. I'm not really sure about my answer, so I did it another way. I divided .125 by five and got .025 so I multiplied that by 45 and got 1.125. I multiplied 1.125 by 1000 and got A.

Suppose the true proportion of voters in the county who support a restaurant tax is 0.54. Consider the sampling distribution for
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

The correct answer is:

(a) 0.54

(b) 0.0385

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Restaurant tax,

p = 0.54

Sample size,

n = 168

Now,

(a)

The mean will be:

⇒ μ \hat{p}= p

         =0.54

(b)

The standard error will be:

\sigma \hat{p} = \sqrt{[\frac{p(1-p)}{n} ]}

    = \sqrt{[\frac{(0.54\times 0.46)}{168} ]}

    = \sqrt{[\frac{(0.2484)}{168} ]}

    = 0.0385

Is 5/8 more than 2/3
Andre45 [30]
No. 2/3 is bigger than 5/8 because if you convert them to where the denominator is the same, 5/8= 15/24 and 2/3 is equal to 16/24
