How do geologists know that there once was a vast sea where the Grand Canyon is today?
Vanyuwa [196]
Through the erosion and indentations. Formation down cutting it leaves forms of a river or ocean carved. Using range you can see how the floor of the canyon were an ocean floor. Erosion is caused by water the Grand Canyon sits on a body of water unlike most canyons this one happened to erode and sediment the body where the water once was. A layer of rock is also apparent which you wouldn’t be able to see unless erosion happened and etc.

If a trait is recessive, then it can only be expressed if both alleles (individual letters) are recessive (lowercase).

What results when equal but opposite charges are present in two regions of a polar molecule? A. dipole B. ionic bond C. Electron
Masteriza [31]

Answer: A. dipole

Explanation:

Dipole can be defined as the separation of the equal and opposite charges present in the molecule via ionic bonding. The water molecule comprising of two molecules of hydrogen being positively charged and one molecule of oxygen being negatively charged are connected via ionic bonding thus water molecule is an example of dipole molecule. There is unequal distribution of the electrical density throughout the molecule.

The label on a bottle of medicine reads "Each 5 mL teaspoonful contains glucose, 1.87 g; levulose, 1.87 g; and phosphoric a
Alexandra [31]

(a) 43.6 mg; (b) 520 mg

(a) Mass of phosphoric acid (PA) in a dose

Mass of PA = 2 tsp × (21.8 mg PA/1 tsp) = 43.6 mg PA

(b) Mass of PA in the bottle

Step 1. Convert ounces to millilitres

Volume = 4 oz × (30 mL/1 oz) = 120 mL

Step 2. Calculate the mass of PA

Mass of PA = 120 mL × (21.8 mg PA/5 mL) ≈ 520 mg PA

A 650.0 mL solution contains 125 grams of glucose (C6H12O6). If the molar mass of C6H12O6 is 180.16 g/mol, what is the molarity
Aleks [24]

Molarity of a solution is the molar concentration, which is the number of moles of solute in 1 L of solution.

the mass of glucose is - 125 g

number of moles of glucose - 125 g / 180.16 g/mol = 0.694 mol

the number of moles of glucose in 650.0 x 10⁻³ L - 0.694 mol

number of moles of glucose in 1 L - 0.694 mol / 650.0 x 10⁻³ L = 1.068 mol/L

molarity of glucose solution is 1.068 M
